Hallo Berlin :)
My home for 3 days, a lovely apartment right in the Mitte neighborhood. Thank you Ms. A for being the most wonderful host!
And thank you Berlin for three full days of sun and blue sky.
First stop, Kollwitzplatz Farmers Market for some Thüringer Rostbratwurst.
A glass of Riesling, but of course.
Did you know that pedestrian traffic light symbols, called Ampelmänn in German, were created in Berlin? Too cute.
Discovering stylish boutiques.
The Berlin TV Tower totally reminded me of the Pearl Tower in Shanghai…
A coffee pitstop at The Barn, one of the best coffee roasters in Berlin.
Right next to The Barn is Till The Cows Come Home, a vegetarian joint with really good shakes, but alas we arrived just after they closed…
Strolled back to the Berlin Cathedral/Museum Island area for some prosecco and cheese by the canal.
Dropped by Monbijoupark for some outdoor dancing.
Dinner at District Mot, a convivial place serving Vietnamese street eats. Food was not bad, but the atmosphere was more the draw. Don’t miss the burger if you come.
The plan was to go to Le Croco Bleu, an abandoned warehouse turned cocktail bar, but unfortunately it was closed for a private event that evening. Well, here’s one reason to come back to this city.
