Occupying this much coveted corner location on Wing Fung Street is Elephant Grounds, a coffee roaster local to Hong Kong. The open store front and warm wooden tones are immediately welcoming, and the interior is equally pleasant with handcrafted furniture by Start from Zero and a custom-made moss wall installation by local plant artist Quest Terrarium. Coffee, anyone?
某天在上環 gough street 逛街時，發現了藏在買手店 Woaw Store 背後 Elephant Grounds。同行的朋友告訴我這家咖啡很不錯，而且冰淇淋三明治非常有名。當天沒時間坐下來，不過幾天後又在灣仔遇見了它。
There is even a bowl of water for pets at the front, how thoughtful.
灣仔的分店比上環的大了許多，位于星街附近一個熱鬧的街角。開放的門面和溫暖的木頭色都非常吸引人，門口還放了給狗狗們的喝水碗。
Love these corner seats with an abundance of natural light. The façade is done with glass and metal that can be opened completely – a design that’s much appreciated when the weather cools down in the fall.

To make the best coffee, Elephant Grounds focuses on the finest beans, appropriate roast, correct brewing method, and great presentation. Here’s a smooth cup of latte (48 HKD), and I’m quite in love with these chubby elephant legs hopping away on the cup.
Elephant Grounds的兩位創始人說，要做好咖啡就幾個元素：從世界各地收集來最好的豆子、適當的烘焙、正確的衝煮方式、以及非常棒的presentation。拿鐵味道很好，而且杯子上輕盈奔跑著的象腿也太有喜感了。

Elephant Grounds is famous for their ice-cream sandwiches, a favorite seems to be salted caramel ice cream with dark chewy chocolate chip cookies and crunchy caramel popcorn. I only tasted their ice-cream in pints, and to be honest it was not much to talk about…very milky, but the flavors as marked (I tried Earl Grey and taro) were not pronounced.
Elephant Grounds的冰淇淋三明治是人氣商品，不過我只有嚐了他們的盒裝冰淇淋，老實說感覺很普通 － 除了奶味重，其他風味（比如伯爵、芋頭）都沒有表現出來。
But all in all, a charming space with great design, great for a cup of coffee in the morning before the lunch rush.
不過總而言之，很喜歡這家店的設計，下次路過不論是上環還是灣仔這家店都還會進來喝杯咖啡（銅鑼灣和黃竹坑也有分店哦）。這家灣仔店似乎也是附近上班族吃午飯談事情的好去處，一到中午都是西裝筆挺的人呢。
