Breakfast at The Wolseley is an institution. There’s even a book dedicated to it, literally titled “Breakfast at The Wolesley”, written by British restaurant critic A.A. Gill – and this could very well be a marketing gimmick, but I did find breakfast here to be an enjoyable experience. Grandiose decor, lively atmosphere, and pleasant if not especially memorable food. A must do in London? Not really, but if you have the spare time, why not?
Beautiful interior.
Busy bees in and outside the kitchen.
Freshly baked viennoiseries.
Tea, coffee, fresh juices (£2.75~5.75).
Mini viennoiseries (£7.75): croissant, pain au chocolat, canalé, escargot…
Wolseley Fishcakes with Poached Eggs (one £6.75 / two £13.50).
Eggs Arlington (one £8.75 / two £17): poached egg with smoked salmon over biscuit.
French Toast with Berries (£9.75), also available with bacon.
