For a light-hearted brunch in Paris, try hotel/restaurant Auberge Flora. Its €28 brunch set starts bubbly with a glass of cidre rosé ecusson, followed by entrées in small plates and hearty portions of main courses to share among the table, ending with a few delightful dessert bites. Bright and airy, with friendly service.
Brunch menu, and a glass of cidre rosé ecusson.
Entrées are served in small plates on three-tier stands. What to expect: tomato gazpacho, rabbit rillette, roast duck, stewed vegetables, baked mussels, etc. Not especially mind-blowing, but fun and pleasant nontheless.
The main course is served family style and shared among the table. On my particular visit, the main course was paleron de boeuf mijoté, jus sangria, avec pommes de terre écrasées – beef stew in sangria sauce, served with crushed potatoes. Hearty.
Desserts, small but satisfying bites. I especially liked the rhubarb compote served with strawberry mousse, sprinkled with a bit of cumin.
Auberge Flora, just another brunch idea for your next weekend.
