It’s been a year since I last went to Clamato, that seafood bar opened by Bertrand Grébaut of Septime. The same no-reservation policy, the same chill atmosphere, and even better service. I was disappointed to find that no razor clams were being served at the moment (I had some amazing ones last time), but the new dishes I tried this time were not too shabby either.
Clamato Ceasar (€12), homemade clamato, vodka fair, celery, tabasco.
White tuna, shallots, red currant (€16).
Ceviche of black mullet, radish, coriander (€14).
Green beans, fresh cheese, botargo (€10).
Mussels, datterino tomatoes, chili (€10).
Croquette of yellow pollack with Huancaína (Peruvian spicy cream sauce) (€8).
A very pleasant dinner with the winning combination of lively atmosphere, friendly service, and good food.
