A newly opened neo-bistro by the folks behind Verjus and Verjus wine bar. I first visited on a Sunday for their brunch special menu, which consists of a dozen or so small plates designed to be shared. The famous buttermilk fried chicken is delicious as usual, and everything else we tried was quite pleasant as well, especially the chicken chilaquiles and the malt ice-cream.
“Dutch pancake, bacon jam, herbs, maple syrup” (€12).
“63C eggs Benedict, sourdough English muffins, Hollandaise, bacon” (€12).
Chicken chilaquiles, corn chips, avocado, lime, cilantro, chili (€15).
Buttermilk fried chicken, napa cabbage, red chili, dijon (€11).
Malt ice cream, chocolate sorbet, espresso espuma, milk crumb (€10)
I came back another time for lunch, which comes with options of 2 courses (€18) or 3 courses (€24).
My choice of entree: “broccoli, anchovy butter, sesame, parmesan, lemon, chili”.
Plat: “nettle orecchiette, oyster mushrooms, brussel sprouts, pesto, parmesan”.
Dessert: “apple fritters, cinnamon, dulce de leche, maldon salt”.
Overall a charming little bistro. Wouldn’t say I was blown away, but both dining experiences were pleasant enough to lure me back again.
