Situated right along Canal St. Martin, Hai Kai is an airy space full of feminine charms. Fresh products, clean flavors, lovely service. Perfect for a light lunch.
Chef Amélie Darvas (ex-Bristol, L’Ami Jean et The Broken Arm) in her open kitchen.
Lunch sets at Hai Kai are priced at €17 for entrée+plat or plat + dessert, or €22 for all three courses.
Entrée option 1: Paleron de Boeuf, salicorne, beef shoulder with sea asparagus.
Entrée option 2: Sardine de Bretagne, crème de citron confit, Brittany sardines with lemon confit cream.
Plat option 1: Merlu de Ligne, rhubarbe confite, line-caught hake with rhubarb confit.
Plat option 2: Joue de Porc Iberique, fregola, Iberian pork cheek with fregola (a type of pasta from Sardinia).
Dessert: Crème Brûlée, coco, gingembre, coconut ginger crème brûlée.
