I started to really miss French pastries during the latter half of my month-long vacation away from Paris, and was (slightly) devastated to find many pastry shops closed for summer vacation upon my return. Fortunately a few good ones remain open, and this page (French only) conveniently lists the current status of most big-named pastry shops. Here are some that might interest you:
Open all summer:
- Carette
- Hugo & Victor (boutique on Blvd Raspail open all summer, the others close)
- La Pâtisserie des Rêves (boutique on rue du Bac remains open all summer, the others close)
- Pierre Hermé (except a few Sundays, check website for detail)
- Sadaharu Aoki
- Sébastien Gaudard
Closed/closing soon:

– Boutique on rue Caulaincourt closes on Mondays and Tuesdays through August– Boutique on rue de Seine remains open through summer– Boutique on rue Damrémont closes for the entire month of August
- Blé Sucré : closed July 27~August 26

- Un Dimanche à Paris : closed July 28~August 19
- L’Eclair de Genie : open all summer but only from noon to 7:30pm
